GATOR CITY SENATE BRAGGING RIGHTS TEAM RULES

 

GENERAL RULES

 

1.      Must attend 1 Gator City Senate-sponsored event (meeting, banquet, tournament, etc.).

2.      Must wear the Jacksonville Gator City Senate “I AM Bowling” shirt that has your name on the back with black bottoms.  


Divisions are as follows:

Classic Men – Ages 18 to 49                        Classic Women – Ages 18 to 49

Senior Men – Ages 50 to 64                         Senior Women – Ages 50 to 64

 

Super Senior (Men and Women combined) – Ages 65 and older

 

Below are the bowlers who have met the minimum qualification to bowl on the bragging right teams in Orlando. The five bowlers with the highest scores in each division will represent our Senate during this tournament.

3.      Must be a Gator City Senate member by March 31 of current season and bowl in a Gator City sanction league.

4.      Each member has the bowling current bowling season (September 1 – August 31) to complete their qualifications to be eligible for the Bragging Rights Team. The installation of officer’s meeting will count towards the following years participation.

5.      To qualify for Senior, you must be at least 50 years of age; Super Senior, 65 years of age.

6.      The Senate President reserves all rights to make exceptions to the rules.

7.      Additional rules pertaining specifically to Men / Women are listed below:  

MEN

 

1.      For Classic and Seniors teams you must have a current average of 190 or higher.

2.      One spot will be granted to the highest scratch score regardless of average.

3.      The remaining spots will be awarded by the highest scratch set bowled prior to 3:30 p.m. Bragging Rights Competition.

 

4.      The highest scratch set can be from your Doubles, Team or Battle of the Sexes.

 

WOMEN

 

1.      For Classic ONLY, must have a current average of 180 or higher.

2.      If there are not enough women with a 180 average or higher, then the required average will decrease in 5 pin increments until the Classic Team only is filled.

3.      All spots will be awarded by the highest scratch set bowled prior to the 3:30 p.m. Bragging Rights Competition.

 

4.      The highest scratch set can be from your Doubles, Team, or Battle of the Sexes.

 

REPORTING SCORES

 

During the Sunshine Challenge Tournament, if you have met the above qualifications and want to bowl on a Bragging Rights Team.

 

1.      Check the Gator City Senate Website to verify that your score is higher than the lowest score posted for the division you want to bowl.

 

2.      Then, text a picture of your recap sheet to Suzette Mosley at 904-386-8321 and Charles Johnson at 904-962-6266. When submitting your recap, please state which division you want to bowl.
