GATOR CITY SENATE BRAGGING RIGHTS TEAM RULES

GENERAL RULES

1.      Jacksonville Gator City Senate members have the current bowling season (September 1 – March 31) to complete their qualifications to be eligible for the Bragging Rights Team.  The installation of officer’s August meeting will count towards the next year participation.

2.      You must be a current Gator City Senate member by March 31 of current season and bowl in a First Coast USBC sanctioned league.

3.      You must attend one Gator City Senate-sponsored event. (meeting, tournament, event, etc.) 

4.      All Bragging Rights Team members must wear the latest Jacksonville Gator City Senate “I AM Bowling” shirt that has your name on the back with black bottoms.

5.      To qualify for Senior, you must be at least 50 years of age.

6.      Bowlers aged 50 or older may compete in the Classic or Senior division. If a Senior bowler opts to bowl on the Classic team and is later bumped from the roster by another Classic bowler, they may be added to the Senior team, provided their set ranks among the top five highest sets in the Senior division.

7.      The Senate President reserves all rights to make exceptions to the rules.

8.      Additional rules pertaining specifically to Men / Women are listed below:

MEN

1.      Classic / Seniors team you must have a current average of 190 or higher

2.      One spot will be granted to the highest scratch score regardless of average.

3.      The remaining spots will be awarded by the highest scratch set bowled prior to 3:30 p.m. Bragging Rights Competition

4.      The highest scratch set can be from your Doubles, Team or Battle of the Sexes.

WOMEN

1.      Classic ONLY, must have a current average of 180 or higher.

2.     If there are not enough women with a 180 average or higher, then the required average will decrease in 5 pin increments until the Classic Team only is filled.

3.     All spots will be awarded by the highest scratch set bowled prior to the 3:30 p.m. Bragging Rights Team Competition. 

4.      The highest scratch set can be from your Doubles, Team, or Battle of the Sexes.

REPORTING SCORES

During the Sunshine Challenge Tournament, if you have met the above qualifications and want to bowl on a Bragging Rights Team.

1.     Check the Jacksonville Gator City Senate website at TNBAGATORCITYSENATE.COM to verify that your score is higher than the lowest score posted for the division you want to bowl. 

2.    Then text a picture of your recap sheet and which division that you would like to bowl.

DIVISIONS

Classic Men / Women – Ages 18 to 49

Senior Men / Women – Ages 50 to 64 

REMINDER - Bowlers aged 50 or older may compete in the Classic or Senior division.
